Vincenzo Muratore is a sculptor, designer, poet, and performer based in London. Deeply rooted in his Sicilian heritage and informed by a background in social sciences for international cooperation, his practice explores identity, psychological transformation, and the tension between the visible and the invisible. Merging traditional materials such as marble with contemporary processes, Muratore’s work bridges sculpture, poetry, and installation.
He often incorporates writing, engraved or ephemeral, as a tool of memory, erosion, and resistance. His installations and performances act as rituals of uncovering, stratification, and ascent.
His experience as a queer and neurodiverse individual informs a material and conceptual language that embraces fragility, trauma, fragmentation, and the social burying
processes of memory.
Muratore is a Lecturer in Foundation Art at the University of East London and collaborates with the Royal College of Art.
He has exhibited across the UK and Italy and works with institutions such as Bow Arts, Ballymore, and the Trinità della Pace Community in Sicily. He holds an MA in Sculpture from the Royal College of Art (2024) and is a member of the Royal Society of Sculptos.
He won the Arte Laguna Price 2025 with 2 different prizes and has been invited to the Architecture Biennale of Venice 2027.
